Police Officer

Starting Compensation: $21.00 per hour (DOE)

Minimum Qualifications

 

Applicants must meet the following requirements:

  • Current certified law enforcement officer
  • Eligible for certification under the South Dakota Law Enforcement Officers Standards and Training Commission
  • United States citizen
  • At least 21 years of age at the time of swearing-in,  taking oath of office.
  • High school diploma from an accredited school or an acceptable high school equivalency certificate
  • Ability to work shift assignments, including nights, weekends, and holidays
  • Available for call-back assignments and 24-hour on-call status
  • Ability to work extended hours as required

Notice is hereby given that the governing body, sitting as a Review Board of Equalization of the City of Miller, Hand County, South Dakota, will meet at 7:00 PM at City Hall within said taxing jurisdiction on MONDAY, the 16th day of March, 2026, (being the 3rd Monday in March) for the purpose of reviewing and correcting the assessment of said taxing district for the year 2026.

All persons considering themselves aggrieved by said assessment are required to notify the clerk of the local board no later than March 12, 2026. Written objections may be filed with the Miller City Finance Officer at City Hall.
